This software, including its source code, assets, design, and any accompanying documentation (collectively, the "Software"), is the proprietary and confidential property of Laurenz ("the Author"). The Software is NOT open source and is not licensed under MIT, GPL, Apache, or any other open-source license, notwithstanding any prior version of this file or any other statement to the contrary.
1. GRANT OF LIMITED USE Subject to your compliance with this License, the Author grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable, royalty-free license to download and run compiled, officially-distributed copies of the Software solely for the purpose of installing, configuring, and launching Minecraft and related content (e.g. mods, modpacks, resource packs, and shader packs) for your own personal use.
2. RESTRICTIONS Except as expressly permitted in Section 1, you may NOT, whether in whole or in part: a) copy, reproduce, distribute, publish, sell, rent, lease, or sublicense the Software or any of its source code, assets, or documentation; b) modify, adapt, translate, reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or create derivative works based on the Software; c) fork, rebrand, or use the Software (or any portion of it) as the basis for another launcher, application, or product; d) remove, obscure, or alter any copyright, trademark, or other proprietary notices contained in the Software; e) use the Software for any purpose other than launching Minecraft and managing related game content as described in Section 1.
3. NO OWNERSHIP TRANSFER The Author retains all right, title, and interest in and to the Software, including all intellectual property rights therein. No rights are granted to you other than the limited use license expressly set out in Section 1.
4. THIRD-PARTY SERVICES The Software may interact with third-party services (including but not limited to Mojang/Microsoft authentication services and the Modrinth API) to provide its functionality. Your use of those services is subject to their own respective terms.
5. TERMINATION This License is effective until terminated. It will terminate automatically and without notice if you fail to comply with any of its terms. Upon termination, you must cease all use of the Software and destroy all copies in your possession.
6. DISCLAIMER OF WARRANTY THE SOFTWARE IS PROVIDED "AS IS", WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NONINFRINGEMENT.
7. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY IN NO EVENT SHALL THE AUTHOR BE LIABLE FOR ANY CLAIM, DAMAGES, OR OTHER LIABILITY ARISING FROM, OUT OF, OR IN CONNECTION WITH THE SOFTWARE OR THE USE OR OTHER DEALINGS IN THE SOFTWARE.
